This morning we went to the Pittsfield Farmers Market in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. While our kids will tell you that the gorgeous sugar cookies were the find of the day, we will say it was this fun bottle of Marsanne from Balderdash Cellars. With grapes coming from Paso Robles, this wine is aged six months in 100% aged French oak. The bottles were reasonably priced (we paid $18) and we love that they are local, coming from Pittsfield. The husband and wife team behind Balderdash Cellars started making wines as a hobby and now have been selling wines since 2013 from their winery in downtown Pittsfield. Truth Serum, the bottle we selected, has hints of melon & honeysuckle. We love their story and the gorgeous labels on each bottle. We are looking forward to trying the other varieties this summer.
