Most days of the week I’d pick ice-cream over sorbet any day. You might say I’m a bit of an ice-cream addict. Once it is in the house most of our other family members don’t stand a chance! I’ve been trying to do better though, so I’ve been opting to purchase sorbets over ice-creams. While we sometimes make our own, we also like to support “local” suppliers. We happened across this Blue Moon Sorbet at the market and have since tried a few flavors. This blackberry lime version is one of our favorites.

What we loved most about this Blue Moon Sorbet was the simplicity of the ingredients: blackberries, water, sugar cane and lime juice. No additives or preservatives just pure goodness.
We dressed ours up a bit with some shaved lavender dark chocolate and crumbled ginger thins. The crunch of the ginger thin crumble against the fresh lime flavor embedded in the sorbet was to die for. It was fresh and light and was eaten without one ounce of guilt which made it all the sweeter!
