Sustainable Kitchen Wrap
Can you believe September is a week away? Summer has been a blur. Less enjoyable than ever before as life has thrown numerous curve balls in our path. We have tried to find joy in simplicity, which for us, is often very easy.
At home that means we've been making a lot of sourdough. We used to cover our dough bowl with a tight pinched plastic wrap from the giant rolls you can get at restaurant supply shops. Convenient only because it seemed like it absolutely never ran out. We fell into that trap and have since been trying to crawl out. Lately we've been trying to return to our old ways. And that my friends, included pulling out our tried and true Bee's Wrap. The piece we are using now to cover our dough bowl is at least three years old. We have been instantly reminded of how much we loved it.
The great thing about Bee's Wrap is that it comes in so many sizes and shapes. I used to love wrapping sandwiches in it for the kids to take to school. I loved the fabric choices and the twine and button seal. I especially loved that it was environmentally friendly. When we lived by the ocean that was, oddly, emphasized more than here in Western New York where we are surrounded by farms and lakes.
So, with September a week away, one of our goals is to find a few ways to bring daily sustainability back into our lives. For now, we'll start with Bee's Wrap.
