For all the traditionalists out there- Bootblack Brand’s traditional old fashioned cocktail syrup takes the guesswork work out of the bitters/sugar ratio. They suggest pairing it with an aged rum just to mix things up a bit. We’ve paired it with one of our favorite tinned fish finds- Don Gastronom’s mussels in Spanish sauce and a sweet Drunken Monkey spread from The Jam Stand. Drunken Monkey is great with peanut butter on toast or as a center filling for cupcakes and cakes alike. We’d like to think the old fashioned made with rum and a sweet treat on the side would be the perfect pair.
