Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs Wrapped in Bacon

February 16, 2011 Leave a Comment

We love entertaining.  Deciding on the menu, picking out the serving dishes, deciding who to invite over…we love all of it.  This is a yummy example of a small bite that is easy to make and easy to serve.
We started with dried figs and sliced them almost in half- we left a seam on one side.
Roll goat cheese into little balls.
We seasoned the goat cheese balls with Pink Himalayan Salt and stuffed them into the sliced figs.
Again, this salt was a find at our local Home Goods store.  We find amazing spices and salts there at a fraction of the cost you might pay somewhere else.
Wrap the goat cheese stuffed figs in bacon and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until the bacon is cooked.
Drizzle the cooked figs with honey and serve on a plate of herbs.
