Life and Limb Beer with Maple Glazed Steak & Potatoes

June 18, 2014 Leave a Comment

We stumbled upon this gorgeous bottle of Life and Limb beer and bought it to try with dinner, which was going to be maple glazed steak with roasted potatoes.  From the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Life and Limb beer received 90 points from Beer Advocate.  We liked that it is brewed using maple syrup from Massachusetts.  This medium-full bodied dark beer had a creamy mouth feel and hints of molasses, dark brown sugar and caramel.  It was the perfect accompaniment for our maple glazed steak and roasted potatoes.  We have read that it is also quite versatile and holds its own with certain desserts as well, probably due to the sweet flavors that linger in your mouth.
