My favorite artistic memory is of an oversized Kate Greenway coloring book my mother bought for me on a vacation to Maine. I must have been seven or eight. For years she kept the picture I finished from it hanging on the inside of her closet door. We’d get brand new crayons every Christmas. The sharp tips and numerous colors would make me smile.
