When I was a little girl my mother bought me four tiny porcelain houses. They were all from scenes of English market towns. Today they sit in my bedroom and I still love them as much as I did then. I come from a family philosophy of more is more. Houses filled with old things from great grandparents and dare I say, great, great grandparents. With a history of a family who really did arrive on the Mayflower and a true New Englander at heart, I don’t think of myself as an Anglophile, but I do love a classic country house…and one with a British husband thrown in makes it all the more authentic. I don’t know when my love of British interiors began, but I do know that this book spoke to me as soon as I read the title.
Any Rizzoli book is generally a favorite, but when it combines one of my favorite designers and British interiors it is an instant win. This book showcases gorgeous homes, stunning collections, and whimsical gardens. We only have one in stock but I have a feeling it is a book we may buy again and again.
